❌ I became 28 years old
Have you said something like this?
A lot of English learners make this mistake, but it’s easy to fix.
In English, we use turn when someone reaches a new age.
You can say, I turned 28.
Here are some other examples:
* I turned 40 last year.
* Jack’s daughter turned 18 yesterday
* My mom turned 96 in December.
Do you know anyone who recently had a birthday? Did they turn 28?
Leave your example in the comments.
