learn slang geek

What does the slang word Geek mean?

Geek means a person who is very interested in a particular subject, especially computers or technology. So, if someone says “He’s such a geek”, they mean that the person is very knowledgeable and passionate about technology or computers.
Here are some example sentences using geek with this meaning:

  • My brother is a total geek when it comes to video games and spends all his free time playing them.
  • I hired a geek to fix my computer, and they had it running smoothly in no time.
  • My best friend is a geek when it comes to cars and can talk for hours about engines and transmissions.

Can you think of any other example sentences? Do you know anyone who is a geek?
