Is the word TIME countable or uncountable?

Actually, the noun TIME is both countable and uncountable. Let’s study together:

The word “time” is countable when it means experience or occasion:

  • I have been to Times Square several times.
  • Jim has gone to that restaurant 3 or 4 times.
  • I have seen that movie more than ten times.

The word “time” is uncountable when it refers to “clock time

  • I don’t have much time today.
  • Baking bread takes a lot of time.
  • Jim has enough time to buy cake for dessert.
