Catch Some Rays

What does the English idiom, to catch some rays mean? When you catch some rays, you are getting a suntan. Keep in mind – catch is an irregular verb and the three parts are catchcaughtcaught.

Here are some examples:

  • It was sunny so I caught some rays today.
  • We spent the who vacation lying on a beach and catching some rays.
  • I caught some rays at the park during my lunch break. I feel great!

Keep in mind the best way to remember this or any vocabulary in English is to take the word or phrase write it in a sentence that’s true for you or true in your world and then memorize your sentences.
