Our friends over at Kaplan have teamed up with Rachel’s English, an English Learning YouTube channel. The video lesson uses one of Kaplan’s famous idioms illustrations and was created by Rachel’s English to help non-native speakers improve their American English pronunciation by practicing popular phrases.
As you’ve noticed from some of my previous posts, Kaplan International’s idioms illustrations are just great, and have become very popular as online and classroom resources for English teachers and learners worldwide. This marks the first time that a Kaplan illustration has appeared in a YouTube video.
But as you know, thinking up creative ways to help people learn English is at the heart of what we teachers do. Kaplan’s Content Strategist, Mr. Martin Hofschroer said that they are always keen to work with innovative English teachers. The group of International Colleges is excited about developing their presence on YouTube and helping as many people learn English as possible. So, Kaplan invited Rachel Smith, of Rachel’s English, was invited to the Kaplan English language school in New York to see how students from around the world enjoy the Kaplan experience. Ms Smith said that she was very impressed with the school, which is located in the Empire State Building. The student lounge has an amazing view and the student’s there are lucky indeed!
