Bored & boring (participle adjectives) are often confusing for a lot of English learners. Let’s have a look at the difference between them and once and for all solve the mystery!

Here are the example sentences
  • I was tired yesterday so I went to bed early.
  • I’m interested in Jazz.
  • Jack was excited when he won the lottery!
  • My job is tiring. I need a vacation.
  • I think Jazz is very interesting.
  • Winning the lottery is very exciting!
  • My history class is boring because the teacher is boring.

    1. Despite Bob meant to say “I was pretty bored”, he answered “I was boring”.
    2. His history class was boring because the teacher was boring.

    1.Tom was surprised with Bob’s answer because he said incorrectly” I was pretty boring” ,whereas he could say ” It was pretty boring ” or ” I was pretty bored”.
    2. Micheal thinks his history class is boring because the teacher is boring.
    I am interested in folk music. I think this kind of music is effected of the culture,customs, history and the real emotion of people that live in a specific region.
