Today, we’re going to talk about conjunctions. Specifically, I’m going to show you 6 phrases that use as…as or just as. Those phrases are: as far as, as long as, as much as, as soon as, as well as, and as though These conjunctions are handy phrases that you can use in your writing and speaking Are you ready? Let’s get the ball rolling!

  • As far as I know, there are only two Turkish restaurants in this town.
  • I have been shopping for a car and as far as the financing goes, I’m sure I can get a loan.
  • As far as I’m concerned, Ayhan’s is the best Turkish restaurant in this town.
  • As far as I’m concerned, 3% interest is too much to pay for a car loan.
  • We can take a walk in the park as long as it’s not too cold.
  • As long as you’re going to be in town until Friday, why don’t we have dinner tomorrow night?
  • As much as I don’t like drinking champagne, I joined everyone for a toast to celebrate grandma’s birthday.
  • As much as I don’t like politics, I have been watching the news very closely recently.
  • As soon as I got in my car it started raining.
  • Good luck with your exam and let me know as soon as you get the results.
  • Jack is a native English speaker but he speaks French as well as German and Spanish.
  • The company management as well as the workers is satisfied with the new labor contract.
  • Jenny studied Japanese and she speaks Korean as well.
  • It looks as though it’s going to rain. I think I should bring an umbrella.
  • Hey! You look as though you haven’t slept. Is everything okay?
